About

I'm a copywriter, journalist, and editor with over fourteen years of experience. In my work (and in my life), I love making sense of consumer behavior and unpacking why people buy, eat, and click on what they do.

Most recently, I managed Business Insider’s retail desk as a deputy editor. In this role I hired and edited a team of seven and led coverage on some of the biggest consumer retail companies in the world, like Walmart, Starbucks, and Nike.

Before that role, I was a senior editor for the B2B publication Nation's Restaurant News, covering the biggest restaurant chains and everything from fast food to fine dining.

My writing has appeared in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Eater, Entrepreneur Magazine, Businessweek Magazine, and many other publications. I’ve served as a copywriter for Apple and the tech careers site Uncubed, writing headlines, marketing copy, and newsletters.

I received my master's degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where I studied digital journalism and interned at the social media desk of the New York Times. I received my BFA from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, where I studied photography and art history and interned at the photography department of Vanity Fair magazine.
